Our Story
We are Danu and Julie !! We are the owners of this amazing Campervan.
Let us share a little bit of our campervan story with you.
It all started with our honeymoon around Sumatra.
Danu and I got married in 2021 and dreamt of adventure and freedom. To make our dream a reality, Danu converted our city car into "Blackpearl," a simple camping car with some storage and a bed platform in the back.
We traveled around Sumatra and then continued exploring Java on weekends with our camping car.
Soon, we got hooked on Vanlife and decided it was time to have a proper campervan.
With a heavy heart, we let Blackpearl go with her new owner. We then bought a new car for our next campervan 2.0. Meet "Bigel" or Big Elephant, a big and strong vehicle to support our adventure. Danu spent a whole year building the van with his hands until it was finally ready to go on a road trip. In reality, "Bigel" will never be completely finished; it's a work in progress, and there will always be something that we want to add, change, or fix.
We don't claim Bigel is the perfect campervan, but a lot of thought and love went into building it. It's a great travel companion that allows us to explore new places while at the same time providing comfort and safety.
After one year of adventures with our campervan, we thought it was time to share it with other travelers who want to explore Belitung Island with freedom and love in every mile. For us, Belitung Island is the perfect place to explore by campervan. There are plenty of wild camping spots, stunning landscapes, good road conditions, and lots of friendly people.
We have a wealth of experience in Belitung Island, having explored the best routes and camping spots. We've had countless fun experiences on our road trips and are eager to share our in-depth knowledge with you. Get ready for a new adventure with Bigel Campervan !
